It's not when you collect them in b2 sorry you get them in the tank hanger like you said. I got it then because I was using the infa red to get the fa-mas so I'm sure being in b2 had no bearing. My bad 😁

First off I know I'm way late to this. I listen at work and I'm a landscaper so givin my job and the time of year either what I'm doing is too loud or I'm not working. That aside. Great episode as always. A few things I wanted to add though. This series has been meta gear since this game. If you call miller directly after collecting the infa red goggles in b2 and equipping them. He goes on a rant about how over exposure would harm solders eyes. Then he says and I quote " speaking of which you been playing a while now maybe it's time to get some rest." They can see when it's convenient for driving the story forwarded. My thought is and always has been that the first two games go hand in hand. Yes in 2 raiden is you, solid snake is you as well. In the baker fight when you drop c4 on the floor and kill everybody it's ocelot that calls you an idiot. And the trap room allesio both doors in there are inaccessible at that time. You need higher key cards. And correct me if I'm wrong but is the darpa chief voiced by the guy who voiced stillmen in 2? I always thought so. I love that I have a place to talk about this stuff. Coincidentally, I had the urge to replay MGS without looking at this feed. Something in the air. Spooky. Granted I’m going the Twin Snakes route. The cutscenes are a little goofy but in hindsight, after MGS 2 and 4 it’s pretty endearing - especially with a few Whiskies. More importantly, the translation seems a bit sturdier and the backtracking is basically removed.

So basically when the guards rush in there is just two crates sitting between you and Meryl and it’s the socom and ammo..a little lackluster compared to what I was expecting I guess.

Interesting! Yeah, I'm bummed that I've already played past that point on both my canonical show playthrough and my Let's Play run for Patreon. I was surprised to hear James say that a guard will drop a gun during that fight—as I have no memory that, but I do remember the barrel holding cutscene. So weird. Keep us posted if you do it!

I’ve never gotten to the DARPA chief without having the socom. I think I might do a little run through the beginning just to see that..apparently you just grab Meryl’s famas barrel and direct her fire. Also, based on Meryl and Snake’s butts, I wouldn’t be surprised if Johnny’s nude but is actually not censored. It’s just another terrible pixel-butt! Ha

Ha! Thanks for the support. We'll definitely have to tackle that in an EXTRA-OP soon.

i always send a message before I’m finished! Anyway, I think the thing I’m most excited about now is sniper wolfs hair. I have never ONCE thought her hair looked green! Lol. I’m really hoping I notice that this time.

I haven’t yet started my play through with the show yet but am looking forward to doing so.
