(Picture: Let's all look at Kelpie.  Looking at Kelpie is always good.)

So I periodically ask that people who want to get hold of me email through my website contact form, rather than through Patreon's internal messaging system.  And this usually works.  But lately, I've been getting more messages through Patreon, and it occurs to me that I haven't explained why I need it done this way for a while.

So as I have discussed openly elsewhere on social media, I have both ASD and ADHD.  This does impact the way my brain processes data, and when and where I get overwhelmed with inputs.  Quite simply, I cannot handle multiple inboxes.  If something is sent here, it disappears in a way that it doesn't disappear when it's in my email, and a message that has disappeared never gets answered.  So I wind up looking like I'm intentionally ignoring people when really, my brain has failed to retain data that is antithetical to my workflow.

Please, as an accommodation to my stated disabilities, if you need to contact me, email through my website.  I am legit begging.  Things sent here will never get handled appropriately.

Kitty! I've sent some small fan mail through the website and have always gotten a nice response (with a bit of understandable delay). I'm tickled pink when I hear a "thank you" to my gushing fan mail! So I can testify web form works.

A truly reasonable request, even if you didn’t have multiple personal reasons to post. As a tech-user, there are so many ways to use the same communication tools that I appreciate when people remind me about their preferences instead of expecting me to guess right.
