[Assets] NEW NPR Open Movie Assets - River Reflection Magic - May 2025

This is our 6th month of the Year of Assets! So if you’ve missed anything, like our April - Rocky Road Pack, March - Seafood Pack, February - Kitchen Pack, our January - Sci Fi Pack, or our December - Launch Pack, make sure to check them out, as well!
Material - The Water
The NPR Prototype introduces the NPR Node Tree that provides all the NPR features.
This is the material for the water. Looks pretty basic, but we can add a new NPR Tree to modify the output a little.
One of the things added is the NPR Input and the NPR Refraction node. These nodes provide a breakdown of the shaders into these useful passes. We can then sample these passes and make all the effects we want! It’s like real time compositing but with shaders!
Make painterly reflections!
You can also sample the color behind meshes. Here we just blend with the ground.
The goal here was to create a tool similar to Screenspace Info node in Goo Engine, but more robust than ever before!
