Halloween is coming.
Added 2023-08-25 01:56:58 +0000 UTCHalloween is coming up soon both in real life and in the game's timeline, which means it's time for everyone to dress up! Here's some concept sketches I've made for potential costumes.
If any of you have ideas for a character's costume, please comment them! I'd love to take some of your suggestions. Feel free to put as many ideas as you want, I love hearing what people are thinking and what vibes the characters give off.

Janet has grinch vibes but I don't know if she'd actually want to dress up as him. Pumpkin Keith would be awesome. He wouldn't even need to paint it he could just shapeshift into one. Unfortunately I do think Dapper Keith and Pumpkin Chutback would be better but Pumpkin Keith is a very strong number two. Business Demon Summer is a great idea, I'll probably use that!

While I do like Keith's costume design, I did wonder if he would look good as a pumpkin, y'know painted or something. But I see someone's already suggested pumpkin for Chutback, so yea. With Summer and her horns and business behavior, she would probably play a good succubus/demon "trying to buy your soul". Christine I think would try cosplaying a dragon, with her power being fire breath. Madison - Catwoman?? or secretly a closeted furry coming out? Or just a fisher costume due to her obsession with fish? I dunno. That's all I got for now. Maybe more later

It's good to know Amber's, though! Vriska and Kanaya's complex relationship definitely seems like the kind that would be interesting to her, beyond her interest in them individually.

MOBAs aren't my game type in general, and the super high toxicity of league was just extra pressure. I do know some of the characters though. Maybe Cait, because she's got a gun? The Arcane outfit also seems like something she'd look good in.

Every single one of my friends I've asked about this has suggested a beefy anime guy for Bruce. Seems to be written in the stars for him. I like the idea of Janet being a league character, I don't actually play the game though so I dunno which character she'd like. I only know the hot ones yknow.

Taylor truly feels like the type who would put a lot of effort into a very specific costume that they're excited about showing off, but nobody can actually tell what they are and instead of explaining they just get increasingly mad. Contrarily, Bruce feels like he would look nice in a really old-school skeleton costume. On most people it would look lazy but compared to his usual deal it feels a bit classy and restrained. It's also what the evil kung fu guys wear in the Karate Kid. I also think that maybe Chutback actually kind of kicks ass at Halloween. He seems like the kind of guy who needs a few degrees of socially sanctioned separation from sincerity before he can express himself or be creative. I keep imagining him in a blown out pumpkin, like a pumpkin costume that covers his head and there's a hole in it with like, fake meat hanging out that he made out of paper mache.

As for people who don't have costumes yet, since we know Bruce likes anime, I can see him being Goku or something like that. Any muscular shonen character. I'm not entirely sure what Janet would go for. There's the low hanging fruit of her not wearing a costume for the joke of self-deprecating humor, but the universe slaps her around enough, so she needs to get a dub with her costume. Maybe a League character?
