Update

Hey everyone. This is more of a personal life update rather than a game update so feel free to skip this one. I just thought I'd leave this here for those who are interested since it kind of affects development progress.

So long story short, I didn't take graduating too seriously back when I was in college and just ignored it and started working instead. So I decided to graduate on the side. I found out at the start of this month that the exams for my final year will be in two weeks (bad communication from the university. It's just how things are in my country.) So I travelled to where I am now and decided to at least try. The first one went okay-ish but looking after at the books I have to study just a day before each exam, made me realize this is not doable and I'll just be wasting my time. So I'm just going to try them out later this year when I'll have another chance. I head back home to rendering in a few days.

I'm posting this here so you guys are in the loop and know what's going on if you're interested. Sorry for the late post. All my focus went in trying to study. The next post will be when I'm back home in a few days with another preview of renders.

Thanks for the update, CC. No worries here. As others have said, do what's best for you. If it helps to know, I busted my @$$ in university to get the best grades possible and, looking back, I didn't really need to work so hard. Yes, a degree can help, depending on what you want to do in your life, but most of the time, employers just want to see that you *have* a degree (they see the degree as proof that you can start and finish a complex project -- y'know, kinda like making a VN :-D) but once they hire you, they'll usually want you to do things their way -- whether it's neurosurgery or pottery-making. So, do what seems right for you. Even if you make a mistake somewhere, at least you will be living your life your way. And most mistakes aren't fatal or permanent anyway! Best to you!

Good luck on the exams. As someone who tried to cram several entrance exams, it's not worth it as you discovered. Set time aside each week to review and make sure you stick to it, and work on the game other times. :)

You do you CC. Slow or fast doesn't matter. As long as you take care of your IRL interest first. 🥂
