Added 2022-08-08 19:33:15 +0000 UTCQuick update, I ended up corrupting my main Reaper audio file for Queen Jinx. Cannot believe I did that (had the files on an old HDD as opposed to my main SSD). Stupid mistake and a bit demoralizing, but I should be able to build it back pretty quickly. I still have all the base audio files, just gonna take a short bit to re-assemble everything. All the animation is done! Hold tight as I wrap this up.
On the bright side, this may push me to hire someone to do audio. I think my audio is decent enough, but it's not my strong suit, so after getting this finished I'll definitely look into it (let me know if you have any recommendations! I know Volkor is one of the top guys, but I'm open to suggestions).
Next post will be release! Thanks for bearing with me. I'm off to the store to buy some energy drinks to prepare for the grind. 😤

Thanks for the info! I do have the main Blend files backed up, but for whatever reason I had the audio files on the HDD. Will make sure everything is backed up in the future, though.

2022-08-10 20:41:46 +0000 UTCSomething to consider is automatized backup system, like a cloud service. They cost less than $100 a year and can save your butt. Most of them have a versioning option where if something like this happens you can just roll back and lose maybe hours of work instead of days. I am using sync.com but there might be better options out there.

2022-08-08 21:14:50 +0000 UTCVolkor is indeed great. I have not worked with audio engineers myself, only dabbled a bit on my own for some animations. But there are a few whose work I tend to enjoy. HentAudio and Audiodude comes to mind as comparatively big names that are good. BoshidoBlasta and Phoenix Erotic Audio are smaller ones I've heard much less off but have enjoyed. Then, while there might be quite a bit of bias on my part, Bordeaux Black also does audio engineering at times and is quite good at it. Her, as opposed to the others, I have worked with. But in those cases being more focused on her writing and VA skills.
