Yes, Larsson is a common surname. So is most other names ending with "son", "berg, "gren", "ström" and "Quist". There's actually one of our songs for midsummer that goes "Andersson, Pettersson och Lundström och jag" which is kind of a way to get as many as possible represented, or at least make everyone feel some recognition to those namned in the song.

Sorry man, here comes another novel! 0:00 Oh, there you are! There is an even more beautiful man under that beard! lol Or didn't you say something like that in the season 2? 😊 I like your beard though. 4:55 No one really cares about 6th of June. We're just happy they made it a red day, which means most work places are closed and you get a day off. 😊 Our biggest Swedish holiday is midsummer. But government is trying and celebrating immigrants who have become citizens etc. on 6th of June. But ask a general Swede why we celebrate it on that date, 90% won't know it. lol Most likely it's because of our king Gustav Vasa was crowned. I don't even know. 😎 5:28 Nah, that is "Den blomstertid nu kommer". Sung in every school when leaving for summer holiday (usually 10 weeks I think) for generations. 9:01 I don't know if you got what Anders said here, but this channel was hand built/dug. Partly by Russian POW's. But there is also a very, very famous Swedish classic comedy film called "Göta Kanal" (don't watch the sequels 😊 ). 24:45 That is actually a rhyme/song I know as well, but I am an 80's kid. Later born wouldn't know this, I guess. But it is amazing that that rhyme made it over the ocean... 26:36 Every "son" last name is common in Sweden, "dotter" not so much. More common in like Iceland. Svensson, Larsson, Andersson etc is because they actually means Lars' son, Anders' son etc. So why the last names are so common is because the first names were so common back in the days. 38:03 I totally agree with you. But to be fair, that day is NOT considered a holiday for any celebration in Sweden. 😁 Guy Fawkes for you? I don't even know what that is either. Oh, are you in Ireland? I did not know that. 4:19 She is also a homewife... I guess she doesn't have to argue that much with co-workers... Have to leave after 56 mins. If you want any classic Swedish movies translated, I can do it. I have translated the other way round before. Not half perfect, but understandable! 😁
