2015-03-18 06:48:49 +0000 UTC1) I record my commentary separately, in another application. I found the sync wasn't perfect when doing it inside the included software. To sync the commentary with the video, start recording the commentary first, then say "go" or something when you press record for the game. Then to refine it further, navigate an in-game menu while making noise. Generally I say "tick" as I select each option in a menu screen, so I can use that as a sync point later. 2) Yep! One of the huge differences between Patreon and YouTube for me is that I get email notifications every time a message is sent here on Patreon. I have that turned off on YouTube (for fairly obvious reasons -- way too many people.)

2015-03-09 22:06:50 +0000 UTCHiya Stephen! Two questions this time. 1) In Day 1919 you said that you use the Elgato HD60 to record Far Cry 4. Do you use the recording software to record your commentary as well or do you record your commentary with a separate program. If it's the latter, who do you sync your commentary to the video? 2) Are we free to come back to these videos at any time during the month to ask more question if we have them?
