WIP report/some previews

I have been doing different VaM stuff in the past 2 weeks since the last post. So I wanted to inform you about that all.
First of all the Club Scene. I imported lots of mocaps into the timeline and still welding them together. It definitely takes lots of time, but I am pretty happy with the results I am getting, which you can see in the preview video. I also started to make first transition animation, which needs a little bit more polish I guess.

Apart from that I couldn't help myself not to experiment with ReignMocap's mocaps and made a little remix out of his Halloween scene. Here is a small video preview of it. Its nearly ready for sharing. I only need to make little adjustments to it and add active dude. After that I will post it for free on hub in the coming days.

Oh yeah that is very fiddley and tedious for sure. But its also rewarding when it looks good at the end :) I will definitely be happy when that part is behind me though xD

I have been working on baking BVH animations to the timeline adding triggers etc, and it is so fiddley and time consuming, I am forgetting to have fun with it! like I understand the time and patients it takes to do these things, so thank you again for all the working your doing.

2020-11-20 22:32:11 +0000 UTCTangentially: If (!) you find the time, maybe there are time-effective ways for you share some of your workflow-related knowledge with us: For example, just could record yourself working on an aspect of a scene that highlights something you learned that you find interesting. Nothing polished, or a guide like JustLookingForNothing is doing - more like a twitch-stream. Like "Hey, there's this option in Timeline v4 that I just discovered one can use in suchandsuch ways". Another thing might be a "TGC discord for patreons-only" - that would make it easier to go into details of your paywalled stuff?

This is not fanboyism or something like that, little details like the packaging show the amount of work and tender for perfection that you put in. Thanks for the explanation. I still think that the VaM engine have some fundamental limitations to it. Maybe the upcoming v2 addresses some of it. 2020-11-20 20:39:19 +0000 UTCThanks man I appreciate it :) The cartoonish look my scenes have probably come from the colourcorrect.assetbundle I often use. It gives more vibrant colours though and provides good visuals and overall lighting looks better. That is why I like to use it :) Also I have been already checking Dr.Deviant project. Did not play it yet though. Definitely going to test it when he progresses more. It looks very promising!

Nial is also doing good stuff, but not to your level yet. Also, while still being far from real life like, the ambient and models are the most realistic looking I have seen. Maybe they still appear a bit like "drawings" because of technological issues with VaM. not sure.
