ArTorr Monthly | October 2025

Welcome back to ArTorr Monthly! Unbelievably, it is already OCTOBER. Where'd all the time go?! Nonetheless, here's the scoop on what I worked on last month and what you should look out for in the month(s) ahead!

Light at the End of the Tunnel

Editing on the Andor video is still ongoing. When I last updated you, I was just over halfway through the audio pass of the video. In the month since, I finished the audio pass, and have been progressing diligently through the video pass. Today, I am about a third of the way through the video pass. To give you a good idea, here's a comparison of what my premiere timeline looked like a month ago...

... vs today!

October 6, 2025

Though not finalized-- and missing some audio, visual effects, and shots-- the first 30 minutes are mostly watchable. Mark, this is good news (that's an Invincible reference iykyk). With that, I can also say the current runtime of the video is over 1:45:00, making it one of my longest videos ever. Absolutely no surprise there for me personally.

There are two more things then I should address about the video: first-- and I'll probably make a separate post about this-- where is the first 10 minutes preview for Tier 3 patron supporters? As I said, the first 30 minutes are missing some things. The first two minutes of the video in-particular are missing a lot. There is a paragraph in the script that I wanted to be read by four different people. I'm still waiting to get recordings back from two of those people. There is also an excerpt from Victor Hugo's Les Miserables that I also have read by a friend of mine, who has been very busy and has not had a good opportunity to send me a recording. So not only are these voiceovers missing from the edit, but I haven't bothered to insert and time the shots that would play next to their voiceover because of it. I could put out the 10 minute preview with just placeholder text over these moments if tier 3 supporters truly don't mind, but the thought of doing that makes me shudder personally; only because I've always been very insecure about showing work-in-progress stuff before it was presentable. But again-- if you don't mind those placeholder moments, I'll swallow my pride and put it out!

Second-- when is the video coming? I feel 90% confident in saying the video will be ready in November. It is my goal, and a real possibility, to ensure you see the video before December. Thus, The Thousand Faces of Cassian Andor will (probably) be arriving next month. Here's hoping next month's ArTorr Monthly is the final time I'll have to update you about it. Stay tuned!

Even More Samurai-Like Progress on Ghost of Tsushima

Similar to last month, not much more has happened on the front of the Ghost video. I'm still fleshing out the outline, and researching samurai, Japanese folklore and the history of Japan. Though I've made no real material progress since last month, the video has all-but solidified in my mind and in the outline.

To be entirely transparent, the anticipated release of Ghost of Yotei gave me a lot of pause last week. My original goal was to have this video out before the release of Yotei so it could enjoy some traction in the algorithm. By the time I realized I should've made this video my priority to accomplish that, it was already too late, and so I stayed the course on the Andor video for that reason. I did wonder last week if I should drop this video, or pick up Yotei and extend the work on this video to talk about both games in one video. But ultimately, I was reassured by the fact that, on multiple occasions, I've put out videos on media well after they were popular or relevant. The algorithm traction is nice, and helps keep the channel healthy, but my utmost goal is to serve you and this community with the content you want to see. Besides, I imagine that, if any of you do plan on playing or are currently playing Yotei, you wouldn't expect me to make a video on it so soon after it's release anyway.

All that being said, I'm still committed to getting this video to you after the Andor video. If I start writing the script this month, I could tentatively put it out in December-- although, it might be time to start talking about 2026 for the release of this. We'll see!

That's All Folks!

That concludes ArTorr Monthly for October 2025. Once again, thank you for your epic patience and gracious support as I carve out the time to make these videos. I know you'll be thrilled to see what I'm doing with them when they're finally done. It's especially insane to see the Andor video be watchable-- I've basically been playing this video in my head since 2023; it's very surreal to see certain sequences and creative bits come together. Until next time, I hope you have a wonderful, spooky October. Peace out!
