Hey and welcome to ArTorr Monthly! Here's the scoop on what I worked on last month and what you should look out for in the month(s) ahead!
With Remember The Clone Wars done and dusted at the start of January, my focus has been fully trained on the Rogue One video (The Myth That Rogue One Shattered!) ever since. After spending a week updating and overhauling my assets library for editing projects (which will make it easier for me to hit the ground running on edits from now going forward), I've taken to working my way through the audio pass of the video, where I arrange narration, music, interstitial clips, and some sound effects on the Adobe Premiere timeline. It's like building the skeleton for the final video, and as of now, I'm about 2/3rds of the way through it.
After the audio pass is done, it's about 1-2 weeks in the video pass, then another week in a final pass that will lead into the release of the video. Ideally, the video will be out sometime during the week of February 24 - 28, assuming there are no hitches in my personal schedule. A little later than I was hoping, but that's how the cookie crumbles. The video is also turning out to be a little longer than I was expecting too, coming in just under an hour. Again, I know you guys will enjoy that. The video is awesome-- and I can't wait for you to see it. And one more time for the record, since there seemed to be some confusion after The Clone Wars video-- this is a video essay, like all my other videos are!
As we continue to overhaul things here and transition into "the next chapter of ArTorr" both literally and spiritually, I decided to do something fun with the 'ArTorr Presents' title screen I've used at the start of every single video since 2020. I updated it!

It's not the craziest facelift ever, but I thought you guys might enjoy seeing it updated as much as I have. It'll be used for all future content starting with the Rogue One video.
In the past month, we've overhauled A LOT of stuff on Patreon. Chiefly, our vlog series "ParkesTorr," and "The ArTorrium" podcast with me and Davie Karczewski. All of this is being offered to Tier 1, and because of that, I've decided to raise the price of Tier 1 from $1 to $2. I hope this does not come across as an earth-shattering change-- it's just reflecting the new value of the tier and the value of my work on the channel. This change will go into effect later this month, and I'll be sure to provide another notice closer to when it goes into effect.
Additionally, there will now be only one Early Access perk across all tiers, instead of staggered early access. Starting with the Rogue One video, all Patreon supporters will get three days early access to new videos. I'm making this change to simplify communication about when new videos are available to Patreon supporters, and save the time it usually takes me to make social posts and reminders for three different early access dates. Now, there will only be one to worry about.
As for the roadmap: as the year ahead has materialized in my mind, I've had a hard time finalizing a "roadmap" for ArTorr content this year-- or if I should even call it a roadmap. I've always had a hard time approximating when videos will be done (just by the nature of how complicated the videos typically are) and so it feels disingenuous to offer anything resembling a timeline for when new videos will be out. In the end, I do think I will call it a roadmap regardless, but this is just an update to say that you'll see it very soon. My goal is to present it to you by this Thursday.
What should you expect from it? A mix of things you've asked me to talk about, and things I want to talk about. At this stage, I'm still open to suggestions, particularly on video games you want me to talk about. I have some criteria in my mind for what I will or won't do a video on, but all I really wanna is: what are some video games you would like to see me tackle? I'd love to read your suggestions!!
That concludes ArTorr Monthly for February 2025. Thank you for reading, and please stay safe and warm this February. See you again soon!
