The Legacy of Mass Effect 3 Has Arrived

The Legacy of Mass Effect 3 is officially live on ArTorr!

Over the next few weeks, I will be sharing goodies and behind-the-scenes material related not just to this video, but all three Mass Effect videos on the channel. That will include excerpts from rough drafts, deep-dives into the writing of each video, a special look at my approach to editing, and of course, three separate video commentaries, giving you insight into my 17 month-long journey to create the best Mass Effect Trilogy retrospective on YouTube.

The schedule will look roughly like this--

• Tues, 12/6: The Writing of The Legend of Mass Effect
• Thurs, 12/8: The Making of The Legend of Mass Effect (Video Commentary)
• Tues, 12/13: The Writing of The Brilliance of Mass Effect 2
• Thurs, 12/15: The Making of The Brilliance of Mass Effect 2 (Video Commentary)
• Tues, 12/20: The Writing of The Legacy of Mass Effect 3
• Thurs, 12/22: The Making of The Legacy of Mass Effect 3 (Video Commentary)

Editing Featurettes for the Mass Effect video will arrive in the new year, as they will take me some time to prepare. Somewhere in the schedule as well (also probably in the new year), I'll put up all the videos and scripts for download. I'm still evaluating what would be the best file-sharing website for future Patreon downloads, so that will hopefully be something I have figured out by next year!

Additionally, I want to denote all the ways your generosity over the last couple of months made a difference in the making of the Mass Effect 3 video. Through the Patreon page, your monetary support was used for: 

• The acquisition of a high-speed SSD hard drive for footage storage. This was a significant help, as the Mass Effect recording folder on my PC had ballooned to over 500 GBs by the start of editing.
• A variety of assets, sound effects and overlays to be used in editing.
• A handful of meals and take-out for late-night editing sessions. I'm generally a natural-energy person, but caffeine saved my bacon over the last few nights.
• The time and focus necessary to ensure that this would be the best Mass Effect video I could possibly make.
