Hey everyone! Checking in once again to let you all know what I worked on over the last month, and what I expect to work on in the month ahead...
Last month, I made it official on the channel's community tab that the next video is indeed Mass Effect 3. Since then, I finished the final draft of the script, recorded it, and have been working my way through the audio pass for the video. I've described my process in one of the commentaries before I believe, but when it comes time to edit a video, I go about it in whole passes; where I edit all the audio, then all the video, then all the effects on one sweep each. That being said, the audio pass usually takes me a couple weeks to get through from start to finish-- at least, for longer videos like this one. In fact, here's where I'm at currently in the timeline...

Ideally, I'm fighting to get this video out by N7 day, November 7th. It would not only be a fitting day to release the video, but very gratifying to know I'd have finally finished a 16 month project on such a special occasion. I'll be cutting it close if so, but alas, we'll see what happens, and I'll keep you posted!
Lastly, here's a work-in-progress on the thumbnail :)

Next up, let's talk about *another* video I worked on last month. While the residual stormy weather of Hurricane Ian that had moved up the US east coast and into PA prevented me from recording the script for Mass Effect 3 for five or so days, I went ahead and put pen to paper on an outline and script for the video that will come after Mass Effect 3.
A video about The Last of Us: Part I.

This is a video I have been keen to make for well over a year now, so when Naughty Dog announced their remake of the 2013 video game earlier in the summer, I knew this would be the right time to make it. The most exciting thing about doing a video on The Last of Us is exactly what scared me away from doing a video on the game back in 2020 when Part II came out: it's virtually impossible to say something new about The Last of Us. In all the time the video's been stewing in my mind, I've been brainstorming ways to disprove that sentiment. Now that I'm finally writing it, I can say with confidence my take on the game is one I feel really good about, and will hopefully engage and entertain you all the same.
This will be a shorter video than what you've come to expect from me over the last two years, and will be the start of a new "project" that will last me through the Fall, Winter, and up the Spring. I'm not ready to reveal the details on that project, but I will very soon.
Stay tuned, and thank you for reading!
