Walking into the hive, she stripped down from her colony overalls, bare as the day she was born.
The drones instinctively took her in and began cocooning her deep in the labyrinthine tunnels and she was quickly impregnated.
Only a few hours after, she broke free of the secreted host mould and emerged from the hive wall that she was cocooned in.
Swollen, with at least a dozen xenomorph facehuggers that had been growing inside her, she resembled a mother with a multiples pregnancy bulge.
In a couple of hours she would give birth - and with enough luck, she'd push out at least one royal facehugger to propagate a new hive and another generation of xenomorphs.
She embraced her role as the new brood mother, happily volunteering herself to the drones and warriors once again to incubate the next batch of healthy xenos.
Researcher note:
"The new xenomorph strain brought to life a hive that utilised alternate modalities of breeding. No longer did the process result in the death of the host but rather a higher immune system, invigoration and overall health of the incubator body - post impregnation, arguably to aid in the further breeding of more xenomorphs and thus, the potential for a larger, thriving hive population."
