2023-02-16 12:14:35 +0000 UTCI discovered SWG after the CU & NGE and found some veteran players that told me their story going through these changes. They stayed subbed despite all the turmoil and helped me experience the game as it was meant to be played, with a community. This video was incredible and I still tell people that SWG is my favorite MMO of all time. The features it had for the time it existed were incredible! Thankfully much smarter people than me are able to get emulated servers up and I've enjoyed the experience all over again. Thanks for making the video!

2023-02-15 04:26:37 +0000 UTCGlad you liked it! It was fun to finally pay tribute to it after all these years. There are 3 main emulator servers right now as far as I know, swgemu(precu), restoration 3(cu) and legends(nge). All 3 are vastly different and just depends on personal taste really.

2023-02-12 17:14:19 +0000 UTCI loved this video so much. I didn't get to play Galaxies, but I was at the height of my Star Wars mania around the same time and playing all the single-player games. So the nostalgia rush is real all the same. I also know my next experiment now! Finding one of those emulators. 🙃

Conceptually, the ‘sandbox’ environment would seem to be closer to a true role playing game than the ‘theme park’. The level of complexity probably worked for and against them. And the incest joke with Lynyrd Skynyrd playing in the background made me bust out laughing hard. Well played.
