Next MadSeasonShow Video Previews + General Update

I've begun work on the next video. Well, videos actually - I'm running a few in tandem at the moment. First up, I wanted to make a video about Youtube's recent removal of the visibility of dislikes as this affects me greatly as a channel. I've been meaning to get around to it, but with Pandora and everything I'm definitely getting to it later than I wanted to. It's still an important video though.
Aside from that, I also have some scriptwork done for the next Pandora's Box episode. I'm still in the research phase, but I'm feeling pretty confident about it - hope to have the previews for you soon. My focus for now is this commentary on the dislike situation though.
For those of you interested in my alt channel, BadSeasonShow, the Dark Souls 1 playthrough is wrapping up soon, and after that I was going to record and upload Elden Ring, which is set for release later this month.
I also still need to knock out that commentary track for Pandora #1, which I know a few of you have been waiting on.
If you do listen to the voiceover preview, let me know how I sound - I've adjusted some mic settings to where I sound a bit more clear than usual. I've been doing lots of research lately to up my audio game, so I'm definitely looking for feedback on that to see if I'm on the right track or not.
Thanks as always, will keep you posted on progress!
Farewell for now, mortals.

In regards to your audio sample: It almost sounds too clear. It's like I can hear that you're in a recording studio when there's even the briefest break in you speaking, and it breaks the atmosphere in your videos of a friend telling me about this a genre of nerds' history. The clarity of your own voice is a little jarring, too, since I'm a huge fan of your older audio quality, which sounds like a early 2000s xbox party. The nostalgic-sytle audio compliments the nostalgic early 2000s gaming histories. The topic doesn't really have to be gaming, but the audio quality is a trademark of your content IMO

2022-02-07 03:07:53 +0000 UTCMad, I know I'm late on this, but your first Pandora's Box video was one of the best video's I've seen EVER -- on all of YT. The jokes, editing and animations, audio quality and voiceover, and the incredible research were PERFECT! I waited until my spring semester started to watch so I could set my phone on my car's dash and watch it on my 45 min commute to class lol. It was like you were telling the story of a damn prince succumb to greed. If that's where your videos are headed, I'm all in

2022-02-06 21:39:58 +0000 UTCYeah I think it's a mix of that, and just being a while since I've done an actual voiceover - I think my cadence is a bit different. I'll continue fiddling with it though and check out some of my older videos to compare. Thanks for the feedback dude

2022-02-06 21:39:30 +0000 UTCNo Eq, just some de-essing, noise filtering, and a bit of a treble boost and a reduction in bass. My audio tends to get a bit muddy due to my close proximity to the mic when I record, so the main difference are mostly from those last 2

2022-02-06 21:38:06 +0000 UTCMadseason gave out his script! :D Time to start a youtube channel and be just like him!? JKjkjk I can't really articulate what I feel about the different audio sounds like? Oddly enough the clear and cripsness sounds like your a talk show host speaking in a small room directly into a massive mic. It's not good or bad? But the audio style you used when talking about classic felt more fun and energy fueled? It could just be a difference in your delivery though, cause the you from your walk away video was also energy fueled... but not really fun, more like a person who had come to a decision after a long journey (good video btw). Maybe a better way to describe the current audio clip is you sound a bit professional as you deliver the lines? And less like a person talkin to someone (us the viewer). If that is just delivery, w/e. If that is an audio setting, might want to fiddle a bit?

2022-02-06 03:11:51 +0000 UTCSome YT'ers voices are processed to have a deep enough tone to activate my sub and my room shakes when they talk. fortunately the attached .mp3 does not and is crisp and clear π
