The planet passes against the background of the host star and the brightness of the star decreases. This is noticeable and the radius of the planets is determined from this difference.
But it’s also not the coolest method:)
Planets are generally difficult to find, they are small. That is, you cannot see the planet “with your eyes,” only indirectly, through some effects connected with the host star.
