Time to Dump C4S?

I'm guessing most of you that are active on my Patreon are probably not visiting C4S to get my films.  I just don't know where else to vent about this.

I'm probably going to stop uploading clips there.  It is getting increasingly hard to host content on that site.  Just look at this screenshot.  All of the clips flagged as "inactive" were scheduled to be released by now, but they have a new review process where they watch each and every clip and make sure that I have consent forms and photos of ID's for every performer that appears.  I do get consent forms, but I rarely snap photos of ID's, because it never occurred to me that I might need to.  What a pain it'll be to track them all down, especially if I haven't talked to the actress in a long time.

Plus C4S keeps 40-50% of the sales revenue, which has always sucked.  They also keep removing categories (thankfully not vore so far), and for the last two years, I haven't been allowed to use words like "blood," or "deadly," or even "sleep."  It was the only real outlet for many years, though.  It has not been my focus for a very long time, but I've still steadily maintained most of my catalog there in case some buyers can't or don't want to go to Patreon or Gumroad.  (Not all films, of course, since I promised some of my actresses never to show images of them on what could be construed as a XXX site - in case you've ever wondered why some films don't appear there)

I know the credit card companies have been coming down hard on the entire XXX industry, and C4S is needing to adapt their practices to accommodate them.  But I honestly wonder how they're going to stay in business at this rate, and the frustration of maintaining a presence has been shifting from dubious to truly not worth it.

It’s a fair question to ask! I don’t know the true volume of buyers who will find their way to you by the C4S category searches, but I don’t rely on them. I mainly promote Patreon & GumRoad, and I imagine I’ve converted a lot of former C4S buyers to those platforms. As I mentioned, C4S keeps at least 40%, while Patreon & GumRoad only keep about 7 - 10%. Definitely try promoting yourself on platforms like YouTube & DA. Currently, C4S only accounts for around 5% of my net vore revenue. Even if I were pushing it harder, I don’t think it’d do much better. My best month ever there was maybe 4 or 5 times what my average months there have usually worked out to.

I have just opened a store there and am nearly ready to release two of the movies I have. I am really bummed out because I have come across all of these hoops that you have to go through and am wondering if it’s worth it. I have always been a really big fan and regular user of c4s and love how they categorize everything. I’m still going to give it a try. I’ve uploaded a video to gumroad but have yet to get any bites on that one. I was hoping c4s would be better because it’s already a very establish source for fetish videos like vore. We’ll see.

I don't get a lot of traffic from it any more. It's been more of a trickle. Yet, some people still continue to buy from it, despite how heavily I push for Patreon & Gumroad, so I figured why not keep it just to keep those few more bucks. But if my content can't get past their screeners in most cases, I just don't feel like fussing with it. I feel bad for the producers who are much more dependent on it!

If it makes financial sense to you I say leave. I mean 40 to 50% that's pretty nuts. I'm an artist and the most a gallery or online sales site pulled from me is 15 or 20% and even then that was pushing it.
