Hands

I dunno why this has been on my mind so much for the last couple of days, but I gotta know: Why do so many vore fans seem to really like for the girls' hands to be down at their sides when they're getting eaten headfirst?  I've seen it a lot in videos by Reddmann, Madmanvore, TooFarBound, TallTeeth, etc.  I don't think I have done it in any of my headfirst videos, but maybe I'm forgetting.  Unless the monster is holding their hands down (as sometimes happens in Reddmann's videos), it seems like a really unnatural thing for someone who's fighting for their life to do.  Is this something you think about?  Do you like/prefer this or know why some people do?

Wow, thank you for putting in all that work! I didn't think I'd done one where the girls hands are at her sides.

Yeah, it just seems so unnatural. Especially for my plant prop, which needs to be partially obscured. For my setup, it makes so much more sense for the girls to be pulled to the prop, that having their hands down at their sides wouldn't make any sense. But yet, some people seem to think the girls having their hands at their sides is an important component. I'm becoming more convinced that it's just illogical nostalgia for the way Reddmann did things.

I went into Script Supervisor mode and reviewed Vore Movies 1 - 20. My notes follow. For these films, I saw that the victims predominately are eaten with their arms up (over their head). In two films (9 and 15), the arm position changes from intially down to up. Only once (18) was a victim eaten with her arms down the whole time. Vore Movie 1 - Feet first, we don't see her arm position, but I would assume her arms were above her head when she gets eaten. Vore Movie 2 - Feet first, her arms are above her head Vore Movie 3 - Head first. We don't see her arm positon in the final version, but I checked the raw footage and in the shots that were used, her arms were up. Vore Movie 4 - Head first. I cannot confirm her arm position, but the plant grabs her by the arm so I would guess at least one arm would be up. Vore Movie 5 - Head first. I cannot confirm her arm position, but the plant grabs her by the arm so I would guess at least one arm would be up. Vore Movie 6 - Head first, arms up Vore Movie 7 - Head first, arms up Vore Movie 8 - Head first, arms up Vore Movie 9 - This is a tricky one. Head first, arms initially down but then up. She is pulled into the plant from behind around the waist. One shot has her arms pinned down as she's being eaten trying to struggle. The subsequent shot has her arms above her head. So technically it's both. Vore Movie 10 - Head first, arms up. Well at least one arm up. She goes in semi-willingly because she has a spray bottle to protect her. The plant knocks it out of her hand as she is already on her way in. Vore Movie 11 - Head first, arms up Vore Movie 12 - Head first, arms up Vore Movie 13 - Head first. We don't see her arm positon but they are probably up because they should be visible in some of the shots if they were down Vore Movie 14 - Head first, arms up Vore Movie 15 - Head first. She is forced into the plant with her arms down, but her arms are clearly up in the next shot. Just like 9, it's both because her arm position changes as she's being eaten. Vore Movie 16 - Feet first, arms up Vore Movie 17 - Fed to the plant head first, arms up Vore Movie 18 - Fed to the plant head first (willing, at least until it was too late), arms down Vore Movie 19 - Head first, arms up (probably since the plant grabs her by the arm) Vore Movie 20 - Fed to the plant head first arms up

I had not really thought of it too much. From the perspective of the victim, getting her hands up to potentially stop the plant (or other monster) from eating her would be the typical defensive position. On the other hand, a victim could be caught off guard and not get her hands up in time (or be too confused as to what is going on to react at all). As far as the monster is concerned, I would think that it would be easier for a monster to swallow someone with their hands stretched out first rather than headfirst with their arms pinned down. Hands and arms first would create a wedge that would stretch the throat gradually rather than going from the victim's head straight to her shoulders. I do not think it matters a lot to me, arms up or arms down, but I do like the idea of allowing the victim to at least try and stop the plant from eating her, so I would prefer hands first.

The large snake scenario makes total sense. I've gotten and read some comments though that seem really picky about the hand placement and it's baffling to me. I can't help but wonder if it really has more to do with the Reddmann diehard's fixating on any weird little detail they can? He could've had every girl in his movies wearing clown makeup, and I swear there'd be a segment of the vore fandom calling for more clown girls getting eaten.

I think it comes from the idea of a sudden attack and the victim was unable to put their hands up in defense. Also in many stories featuring large snakes like pythons and anacondas the victims' arms are pinned to their sides. I don't mind it but nor do I prefer it. I think it adds variety. Personally it's all about a nice plump rump, a pair of sexy legs and cute barefeet being slurped into a creature's mouth. Flailing hands are nice but not necessary
