"Vore" = Woman-Eating?
Added 2019-05-17 05:44:57 +0000 UTCIs it just me, or did searching for the word "vore" 5-10+ years ago yield a lot more results of woman-eating style content? But now, doesn't it seem like such searches are dominated by giantesses, or overstuffed women or other creatures, or furries, or people just eating stuff or swallowing small cameras? Am I remembering incorrectly, or did the term "vore" used to focus more on the woman-eating fetish, but has been gradually taken over by these other subsets? Or has it always been this way? I could have sworn there was an old site (15-20 years ago) called voreaphile.com, or something, that was predominately woman-eating content. Anyone else remember that?
Do we need a new word for this subset that we love? When I tell new models or friends about the vore fetish, but I'm not able to show them an example of our style of vore right away, they assume it's the other stuff that dominates google search results and I have to bend over backwards to assure them it's not. If you're into that other stuff, that's cool, but I'd rather the woman-eating niche have its own terms of distinction. What do you think, friends?

Well, the good thing for you is that your portfolio pretty much defines the type of vore that applies to your content. So I suppose if I was in your position, I would consider showing examples to prospective models so they can make a better informed decision, especially if I felt that they might get a different sense by doing their own research and drawing bad conclusions. The part I find interesting is that you seem to imply it's an easier sell for models to be recruited as prey rather than a predator. If I read that correctly, I would have expected the reverse to be true.

2019-05-26 11:48:57 +0000 UTCThat’s cool that you appreciate the broader spectrum! For me personally, my tastes are pretty narrowed down to the sort of content I produce. And that content seemed to have the predominant association with the term “vore” many years ago. I guess my primary concern with the shift is that a prospective model’s google research gives them an impression of the fetish that’s so far from what I’m asking them to do that they say no, it’s too weird, and I have to do a lot of PR to show that I’m NOT asking them to do the sorts of things they found online. I’ve almost lost a couple of models recently over that.

2019-05-25 18:10:50 +0000 UTCI might be in the minority on this one. The first vore centric website I remember frequenting was called big-gulp (parts of it may still be around). That site covered every permutation of male/female/ambiguous predators and prey. So, for me, vore has always been multi-faceted and I do not believe that things have changed all that much. True, some artists have come and gone and others have come around. I don't think of interpretations of vore that don't interest me as bad. It's just part of a bigger concept. In ways, exposing myself to other interpretations expanded my understanding and enjoyment of vore.

2019-05-19 14:45:21 +0000 UTCWoman eating content is really rare. That’s why I watch you. Toofarbound is a new Vore artist who has woman eating content but he hasn’t been active lately

2019-05-19 06:29:33 +0000 UTCThank you very much! I appreciate that! I wonder if a clearer definition and terminology for what we love would allow more people to find it and allow for more ambitious projects by producers (whether it be me or someone else).

2019-05-18 19:41:25 +0000 UTCI wonder why there has been a decline. I'm happy to supply content, since I love making it so much. Patreon, and the generous support of subscribers like you, have been real god-sends. I can comfortably do at least one shoot (but usually 2 or 3) per month, instead of only the few per year I was able to budget for in the past. But I do worry about the subset's dwindling presence sometimes.

2019-05-18 19:40:20 +0000 UTCGood point. Maybe we could keep the "vore" title, but specify the subset. IMO, "woman-eating" and "gynophagia" don't roll off the tongue very well, so the term for the subset might need more refining.

2019-05-18 19:36:48 +0000 UTCYeah, I've almost lost a couple of prospective models because they thought I wanted to shoot something that popped up on google when they searched "vore," and I had to work hard to prove that I really only wanted them to crawl into plushy monsters.

2019-05-18 19:35:22 +0000 UTCIf only there were a "woman-eating" delegation of some sort, lol, that could convene and make decisions about how to curate our image.

2019-05-18 19:33:45 +0000 UTCLot of the so called VORE these days are garbage i think Asian invasion is right most the good ones are long gone sadly tomiko does good ones and la VORE girl is still going. I think vorefile is the cream of the crop right now hands down!

2019-05-18 13:13:59 +0000 UTCYeah, women getting eating has gotten significantly more rare over the years. A lot of vore producers like Reddman, Devil Clown, and Vorevids quit and content has been scarce ever since. Tomiko still puts out vore content but not as frequently has she once did. Thankfully, you came back to fill the void!

2019-05-18 02:23:10 +0000 UTCI totally agree. I always looked at "vore" as human eating with a personal preference on woman eating. But I guess the term vore is like the term bondage and it now encompasses a broad spectrum of fetishes. I remember gynophagia was popular for a while to specify woman eating in particular. But I think that got hijacked back cannibal fetishists

2019-05-17 14:29:29 +0000 UTCI am glad I’m not the only one who has thought about this. I find it really annoying that so many people have grasped onto Vore.

2019-05-17 12:23:19 +0000 UTCAs with everything it changes with the popular vote or interpretation based on the masses. In this case you are absolutely correct it has been rampant that this terminology has been associated with a myriad of subset categories. While phrases like giantess or gummy vore has grown exponentially in terms of volume and prevalence in the community over the years; these subsets have been popularized within the community either by saturation or demand. Unfortunately there isnt a niche terminology for the content directed towards your subscriber base, La Vore Girl base, DT base, Tomiko, laptop123 or some of the other content creators. As a result this will continue to be a prevalent issue. My suggestion is to readdress the labeling of this particular concept of this interest so that individuals can properly seek out their preferences.
