NVB2 fold flat porch approach
Added 2020-11-24 08:18:38 +0000 UTCI am working full steam on the instructions and one thing that I needed to do was work out a "fold-flat" approach for the porch entrance version of the NVB2 house.
With the thin column elements there was just no space to implement insertion tabs properly. One could just glue the front and sides together and make the rest detachable but that would leave you with a very large and long part. Too long for my taste. So instead I tried to solve that with a connection you can disassemble.
I am explaining it in detail in the instructions but basically I am using split parts of the 3D columns to form an overlapping channel, where I insert a holding part.
I tried this approach on earlier models but never with textured parts, so I am happy how this worked :)
I am about 90% done. So let me get back to work and make sure I can release this baby very soon!
