Ballista WIP

I caught a request for ballista for the ships and tried to work on them in between the other stuff. (BTW I think they should be ready for a bits release next month here).

I made a small one for the gunboat and a medium one for the sloop and brig ... leaving room for a large one later :)

After some research I textured the shape and made the small version a flat model glued onto a toothpick cut to size, like the muskets for the gunboat.

Depending on how much time you want to spend with cutting out you have a simple and advanced version. For the advanced one I cut out the space between the string and also added some holding parts for the toothpick to make it a little more realistic in shape.

For the medium size ballista, I added the shield part. Again you could go advanced with cutting out but I left it at a simple model here.

I want to add some more detailing on the texture of the medium one and then I will try an advanced build. Cutting out the empty space usually make it look so much better :)

Other than that I am still working on the executioner set and next week I will release the torture rack! I also made some new base versions for stone floor pattern.

Almost forgot ....I am working on a build video for the brig. I got a lot of feedback of builders during the last year and want to show how easy the build is if you know what to do instead of adding lots of words to the instructions. I have started recording the core part assembly and need to work on video editing, audio voice over and stuff to get that into presentable shape. Here's the build result so far.
