Texturing the small farm house

Here's a very early texturing "draft". It shows the "framework" variant of the house. Options include different locations for door and windows, different filler material (clay, drystone) and dormer windows and chimney.

On the next pic I have chosen a full drystone wall, like I have seen on a lot of foam core builds.

While working on the doors and windows I have stumbled across a question. I often see on the open doors and window panels the "ring handle" that I only have experienced on the outside. On the inside I would expect a lock or bolting configuration. But probably because the handle looks better this was chosen.

What would you want to see on the inside? Are you OK with the (red cross) "wrong" handles there?

Of course I could just add different option layers but I am trying to keep the layers to a minimum and they tend to explode with too many options :-)

Let me know what you think!

From my side you can choose to print it open or closed. Kit-bashers can try to find a solution to make it actually moveable on the model with a working hinge. I have seen stuff like that but it's fiddly and not very sturdy. Another option would be to have door/window "modules" that you can insert as either a closed or open option. Let me think about that. Maybe I can add that.

Does that mean the doors and windows will be "openable"? The lock seems the most realistic option and THE devil hiding in the details, but whatever suits you will be good!

Thank you Andrew!

That looks really good - can't wait to get my hands on it :D
