Yea we will need to wait, but rather that than you burning out and (maybe) just stopping and never uploading again or something happens to you. Take care and take a break when you need it.

Your MGS videos at the time were part of the reason why I was able to recover from that. It sucks to go through that, though I'm happy to see that you're doing better than last month. A potential suggestion I might have to not overwhelm yourself again is, it could be a good idea to take vacations during the end of December-early January each year so you have vacations every year to decompress from content creation. I’m only 19 so I’m not sure how that would fully work but it’s something I see a lot of other creators do so I thought it could be a good suggestion. Anyway, take care of yourself, Johnny, and thank you for all the good times over the years.

I work retail and I just got through the holidays in my understaffed department, if that tells you anything. The burnout is real, and I lashed out at so many people — coworkers, managers (they deserved it though lol), customers (some of them deserved it too), friends, family, etc. It's getting to a point where I need to either switch departments where I don't have to interact with customers, or look for a new job, because I've been going like this for almost two years and I can't do it anymore. Especially adding to having to take care of my aging grandmother at home. It's a lot. Gaming and watching content creators about gaming is my one solace, and when I can't even muster the energy to boot up a game... that's when you know shit has really hit the wall. All this is to say, I get it. And I know you've had a lot of life changes happen this year, especially with moving and having a mortgage, not to mention reviving SGB (though I assume Elliot takes care of most of the work on that end). You seem like you're a people pleaser at heart, which is great in some respects, but it's also incredibly easy to overextend yourself and burn yourself out. Finally, I do want to say that I've been watching you for almost ten years. I actually found you through your old Zelda videos back when I was first getting into the franchise, and I loved your quick wit and chill, down-to-earth vibes, and your comradery with the people over at SBG and BSC. That down-to-earth vibe is something that I feel that you've managed to maintain over the years unlike a lot of YouTubers. I watch a lot of YouTubers, but you're easily my go-to comfort YouTuber. I actually watch either BSC or SGB in bed to help me fall asleep most nights. Again, all this to say, your work does mean a lot to people and I hope you know that. But also, please take care of yourself. And don't ever feel like just because you took a short break that you owe any of us an explanation. But also, don't feel like you have to keep your depressive thoughts to yourself and wear a mask. It's never a burden to open up to people who genuinely care about you (even if none of us actually know you). Take care, and don't be afraid to take things a little slower if your finances allow for it. Your audience will understand.

If you don't have your health and peace of mind, you don't have anything. The LAST thing any of us wants is for you to just keel over from the exhaustion and stress of it all. If and when you ever start to feel like this again, PLEASE take a step back! Take yourself out of the game and get away from it all for a bit. Go on a vacation. Spend time at home w/ the people you love. Whatever you feel you need to do to recharge those batteries and get you feeling great about yourself again! Yeah, we love the channel. We love the content. We love to be entertained. But not NEARLY as much as we love YOU! And don't ever feel like you always have to put on some mask or be brave for ours or anyone's sake. If you're feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or down for whatever reason. Talk to someone about it. Talk to Elliot. Matt. Uncle. Nora. Mark. Ryan. Ted. Lewis. Your mom. Whoever you feel comfortable with. You've always been a huge help and source of comfort to me and a lot of other people here whenever any of us go through something like that. I’ve been dealing with the most major familiar loss I’ve ever gone through and it’s just made me take such a far step back. Johnny you inspired me to start my YouTube Journey, not only that but as a content creator you’re among the best ever, not just YouTube. I’ve loved SGB so much since it’s return and it’s great to hear that you’re back on your main. Take your time, none of your true fans like myself will blame you.
