To answer your question on how to tackle visual novels Johnny, I’d recommend what you did here with riffing and poking fun at some goofy or silly elements or reactions (like the step ladder in the Ace Attorney series.)

As for worrying about the presentation, I’d say between the two franchises you mentioned it’d only be the early Phoenix Wright games that’s be a problem as Danganronpa and latter Ace Attorney games I’d say have enough visual variety to make it more interesting to look at on their own. And if you decide to review Hatoful Boyfriend I think a simple screenshot should be enough to enthrall a person for around 10 minutes.

I've played some visual novels and I certainly wouldn't mind a Sonic the Hedgehog one at some point. Also was very surprised to see Johnny making Shadow the Hedgehog game references. And for the most part they were actually Pleasant instead of infuriating. Way to go Ace Attorney Johnny. Speaking of I'd love a review retrospective on the Phoenix Wright games

2023-08-28 22:47:14 +0000 UTCIronic you say they should put Blaze in more games given Frontiers showed that Sonic can work better without the overly bloated ensemble, Big the Cat not withstanding. If they do include more than just Sonic, Eggman, Tails, Amy, Knuckles, and Shadow into future games, then it just means SEGA and Sonic Team have learned nothing from past games.
