Back To The Kitchen/Set_The_Grills_On_Fire.

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.

Man, it's been one hell of a couple of months. Why can't I have a normal life? Seriously, sometimes I feel like my life's some kind of novel or something.

My knuckles hurt.

To keep my past troubles short on ya's, I'll just say this: Being an adult sucks.

I had some...business to take care of caused by past ordeals- all resolved now. But I have also been incredibly busy with a recent change I've been setting up for a long while now.

I'm leaving my current work. Been doing interviews at a lot of places since Febuary and its been eating up more time than I'd have thought. 13 years, man. I've been working in this restaurant for over 13 years nows; blood, sweat, and tears have all literally been shed and soaked into that place. But it's time for me to move on to the next step with benefits and better hours. Stands to say that I've been hyper focusing on searching for a new place, cleaning up my resume, and conducting lots of interviews to find a perfect match.

And I have. My final 2 weeks have been submitted and I will embark onto a new adventure by the end of May: 55K+ a year, paid week vacation every 6 months, health/dental/vision insurance, several bonuses, better hours! Compared to my $17 an hour with no benefits, no vacation, and being overworked while helping with running 3 stores- yeah, it's a hell of an upgrade.

Of course, that focus has had me place my own writings on the back burner....Should have really made a small post when I put things on pause- damn.

But! As I'm nearing the end, I'd thought I'd flip on the lights and get the old stove tops flaming. Don't think I've been ignoring my cooking completely all this time! I've been doing some prep, chopping a few bits, and even had some stuff stewing for tasting.

This means I've got plenty of dishes for everyone to sample! Let's go over what's on the menu to be released in the coming weeks!

I'll be trying to focus on two fics that have more prep completed on them as I get back into the heat of the kitchen: A Certain Unfortunate Trainer and The Wandering Zero's Journey. Along with my new fic too: Insert Beach fic's name.

I know it's not much but this ol' dog is trying to get back into the groove of things with all the changes going on in his life. It's been tough but, at last, it looks like I'll be able to breathe a bit more at ease soon enough. Good things are in my future!
