I also felt bad for Richie. he was obviously trying to extend an olive branch with the jacket. also, the whole Christopher getting shot thing being dumped on his lap like that sucked. Matt and Sean were fucking idiots. Richie's done some shitty things since being let out, but I thought he handled the Chrissy/Adrianna thing pretty well by letting Christopher off with a stern warning.

I actually believe Ritchie was being nice lol. He's an asshole because he's a made guy and a ruthless gangster, but they still grew up together on a personal level (stopping by with the plate for Carmela and giving Tony the jacket). Even though they have their friction in business with each other, Ritchie is still a made guy and outside of that he's still part of the family circle, whether Tony likes it or not. Also I personally think Carm and Tony don't want Meadow to go to Berkley because they do want their kids close (which turns out is pretty common), but also they're super traditional and conservative and want her to be in that network of religious/traditionally prestigious schools. For instance Tony makes that homophobic joke about the Bay Area, I remember my dad making jokes like that when my brother talked about known liberal universities. It was a particular political climate in that era, you know?

It's not just Chris is like a son he's the mob nobody in New Jersey no one would be crazy enough to hit Chris especially since they aren't connected It's also dumb they thought killing Chris would help them move up Tony's the boss and he loves Chris they really was super dumb

Paulie is a captain too him and Silvio are both right under Tony in rank Richie just don't like taking orders especially since he was in front of his crew so he wanted to act tough
