Schmincke new colors
Added 2017-08-22 13:34:31 +0000 UTCI think all watercolor artists on YouTube already tested the 35 new, 2017 Schmincke colors, but I was not able to get the dot card in Japan. The Schmincke company was good enough to send me the card straight from the Schmincke-country. So I was finally able to see and play with the new colors.
I like most of the new colors, especially the quinacridone additions! (Magenta and purple are great!) I also like the granulating colors (there are 10 of them!) for example Mahogany brown and Potters Pink.
The only color that I’m not happy about is the new Transparent Green Gold (537). I compared it with the old Green Yellow (536) that I still have in my palette and it’s less intensive. I use this color for bright, saturated highlights so it’s a little bit of a letdown.
I bought two colors for my main Schmincke platte: Quinacridone Gold hue and Perylene Green - I will have to wait for them up to 4 weeks though ><
