I enjoy watching you guys watch these movies. I actually saw this movie in the theater and was surprised by some of the twists and turns
Dylan O'Brien is amazing in this movie as far as I'm concerned. The theme is heavy and dark. And the ending somewhat predictable but also believable. The only thing I really struggled with is how anyone would want to be friends with the imposter - even if he didn't make the horrible choices that he did, he just presents himself as one of those people who's really hard to be around and even harder to like. Honestly with his lack of social skills and impulsive behaviors, in my mind the only way I justify him is that he falls somewhere on the spectrum. Some might judge me for saying that but I do have over 40 years of working with different abilities and a huge portion of that was learning to work with people who fall on the spectrum. Honestly some of them are my most favorite people.
Thanks for your thoughts and insights on this movie when I first saw it I really didn't think this would be one I'd want to watch again and then when it came to Hulu I watched it and then essentially it kind of watched it with you guys again so it surprises me that I continue to enjoy it as much as I do because it is such an icky storyline.

I liked it. It was not anything what I thought we were going to watch though. It was two guys with real issues who needed a friend, became friends in the most bizarre way and couldn't stop being friends despite... I felt bad for both of them but felt good for them too. I'd love to know more about them. The apparent last scene when they both ask for a box and the waitress moves and there's only one sandwich. Still processing that. From freezing, snowy NW Ohio, have a great day!

I believe the film is very well done but I didn’t enjoy the story … like at all. Sorry. ✌🏽

When I saw that you posted this, I immediately rented and watched the movie before seeing your reaction. This is definitely my kind of movie; slow, not much action, and unsettling. Loved it. Glad to find that y'all liked it, too. At first I wasn't sure you were going to stick it out til the end, but I think your sometimes conflicting opinions kept the interest going.

Answers to trivia questions:
1. Seattle Metropolitans in 1917
2. Portland Rosebuds in 1916
Montreal Canadiens were their opponents.

Those are great trivia questions!! I am a former college athlete and baseball is my game. I have no idea what the answers to the hockey are. Fill me in.

Good reaction. I was not aware of this movie but thought it was well done. Enjoyed scenes from Portland, Oregon as I lived there for one year and visit often. Also, it was great seeing Scott Hunter (François Arnaud) from Heated Rivalry!

We had a fairly long conversation about this movie and Dylan on Discord, so I won’t rehash it again here, other than to say the movie was very cringey and kind of uncomfortable, but in a good way. Overall I liked it, but it was definitely a surprise. Zach, your response to the “toes scene” was the exact response that I had…”STOP!!🤣”
