Development Log : Week of December 1 - 7

Since I don't want to be continuously spamming everyone's emails every day with my progress report, I'll be editing this pinned post throughout the week instead.

Current Stretch Goals

• $300 per month to unlock spicy side stories  (Achieved!)

• $600 per month for extended character Question & Answer sessions  (Achieved!)

• $1000 per month to unlock a second drabble each month (Currently: $1100/$1000)

Browser Compatibility:

• Works: Chrome, Opera, Safari (Mobile), Brave (Desktop)

• Doesn't Work: Firefox + derivatives (whyyyy), Midori

• Also, apparently the sound files aren't working properly on iOS. 💀

December 1

• Checked/Edited/Polished ~315 Lines of Code. (Currently at line 8468 out of 12965, Approx. ~1900+ words)

• Still plodding my way through Adrian's confession scenes. This part of the hub is so complex it took 6 hours to go through 300 lines.🥲

• Created preview of game.

December 2

• Checked/Edited/Polished ~340 Lines of Code. (Currently at line 8808 out of 13045, Approx. ~2200+ words)

• Still making my way through the confession scene. Yup.

December 3

• ~1600+ words written/coded of game

• Checked/Edited/Polished ~300 Lines of Code. (Currently at line 9100 out of 13313, Approx. ~1600+ words)

• Yup, ended up writing (then bug-testing) another whole scene for the confessing to Adrian part of the hub. I originally thought that section would only require a few extra lines. 😅

• Created new preview.

• I've got too many previews for this part of the game at this point. For anyone actually reading my daily logs & who has a preference in the matter... would you rather see Adrian's reaction to Mute MC breaking their silence to confess to him or MC threatening him with the 1001 ways that they find Adrian Benoni adorable? (The preview of Platonic MC failing to create a harem will end up on Tumblr)

December 4

• Checked/Edited/Polished ~370 Lines of Code. (Currently at line 9468 out of 13413, Approx. ~2300+ words)

• Still plodding through the confession scene, but the end is within sight! I just need to do the confirmations for the whack MC reactions (Manipulative or Stalkee MC confessing their undying love & meaning it, etc). Although I need to write the confirmations first.

December 5

• ~600+ words written/coded of game

• Checked/Edited/Polished ~420 Lines of Code. (Currently at line 9888 out of 13606, Approx. ~2100+ words)

• 🥳 Confession scene to Adrian finally done, partway through the apology scene for punching him

December 6

• Checked/Edited/Polished ~330+ Lines of Code. (Currently at line 10221 out of 13694, Approx. ~2000+ words)

• Apology for punching Adrian scene done.

• No luck finding code to get the game to automatically perform a clear cache hard refresh.

December 7

• Checked/Edited/Polished ~330+ Lines of Code. (Currently at line 10554 out of 13757, Approx. ~2200+ words)

• Conversation about Pippa's potential death done.

• Day 2 of failing to get the game to perform a hard refresh. I just tried to turn off browser caching on my site in its entirety this time. I'm sure my bandwidth will love that.
