Patreon Discord?

How many of you might be interested in this? I haven't really figured out what exactly would be posted there. I guess it's a more secure way of posting things to avoid having bots steal stuff. But that's really not a big worry for me at the moment. I guess it wouldn't hurt to have preventative measures? I just know that not everyone has discord so I don't want to post only there. Does anyone follow anyone else who does this? Any suggestions on what would be cool?

Here's the patreon guide on what setting it up would be.

Yeah, I'm not really sure if the product I produce would really need to be released anywhere else. A location to increase my connection to patrons would be nice though.

I think about 30% of my Patreon pledges have Discord servers. Typically they are focused on socializing more than business. Creators add their friends as well as patrons. As far as the business end, sometimes creators will put up WIPs that wouldn't make it out in public, sometimes talk about their daily work - one artist puts up their first come first served patron commission slots on discord, one of them posts individual comic pages as they're finished whole monthly zip downloads go on Patreon. Probably this is more about what you feel like than about maximizing client service. Do you want to have a place where you chat with your patrons? Or post screenshots and smaller wip stuff?
