So, I had mentioned before in my last post that my current employer was bought out by a competitor. So what really sucks is that while I'm working full time at one job, I'm filling in the days off I have with training days for the new job so I can be ready to work when the store is flipped on Oct. 12th. So, for the next two weeks I only have Tuesdays off. Best part is that I don't get overtime... since it's for two different employers. Regardless, the paycheck should be nice. But that also means far less time than I anticipated in order to work on my projects.
In other news, I might sell my car, or stop using it at the very least and use a bike because I need to start saving money. I can do that as soon as the business flips because right now I'm sort of required to have a working vehicle in case I need to get something from another store. I won't have that same responsibility in the new store, so why spend the money? It's already breaking beyond my ability to repair. Eventually, soon, I'll need a new vehicle anyways.
As far as the trident is concerned, it's just a small project I started to at least do something. Hard surface modeling is something I find much easier than animation/rigging. Something I can pick up and put down as time becomes available. The drawing was originally made by Littlebat on FA ( http://www.furaffinity.net/user/littlebat/ ), who is a friend of mine and a great artist, and I thought the spear looked marvelous... so I decided to start making it! I'll probably texture it and put it in Unreal. Maybe even render it in Maya.
Hope everyone else is doing fine at least.
Cheers,
Spruce
