Plans post 0.0.3
Added 2021-06-29 20:50:14 +0000 UTCTwo big posts today! But I didn't want to combine them as that would've been that one post far too long.
As many people may understand, I don't make a living off of this.
Not to be a downer, but I'd just like to clarify that it means I can't work 40 hours a week and that my schedule might fluctuate here and there.
Definitely not saying that you should expect less content from now on, so don't worry.
I just wanted to clarify it as I may sometimes have expectations myself for a certain update but won't be able to entirely follow up on it as I won't have as much time to work.
That said income does matter. And I'd mostly like to clarify how.
Adult CG's tend to cost around 100-150 a scene (For the quality of scenes I am currently getting. Higher quality can reach into 200-300 territory), including full copyright etc.
This means that starting from 0.0.4 it will be the most realistic to expect 1 new CG / scene per 125$ I make off of Patreon.
Personally I'd like to work towards 3 scenes minimum per update, thus the first 375$ a month I make will all go to adult CG.
In an adult game, CG's are obviously the most important part of the game, hence why that's my highest priority. After having achieved that goal, I'd like to work on immersion on the game. This means voice acting, character portraits etc.
I'd mainly like crowds to just talk randomly, vendors to bark what they're selling on the streets etc. I don't necessarily mind entire conversations not being voice acted. (In fact I'll probably like that less)
The rest of the money will probably go towards animations/animators and 3D models.
Animations will help me create enemy movesets, player movesets depending on what weapon they're using etc.
Anything I save I'll leave for upgrading my PC as it's almost 10 years old. Being able to build faster/ more efficiently and my RAM not making my PC / unity crash will definitely help out in regards to development time. (Trust me, I've crashed quite often thus far.. lol)
So now you pretty much know what I'll do with my first $1000 a month income. I am aware not many developers have this kind of conversation... But I felt like it's still a healthy amount of transparency as it has to do with things you can expect in regards to the development. Cheers.
