“Over a period of a couple of years quite a few musicians had talked excitedly to me about Perrin Moss and his unique drumming style. I finally got to see him play at Falls Festival in Tasmania with Hiatus Kaiyote. On seeing the band i felt they were greatest live act that i'd EVER seen from Australia. I was introduced to Perrin and to my surprise and delight he was familiar with my Rhythm Diamonds system, so l felt an immediate musical connection.
Fast-forward two years and l was invited to play and record with Perrin in Melbourne. In his home studio, we pressed record and the ideas flowed easily from our hands. It seemed that everything we played together worked, no rehearsals, just picking an instrument, a time-signature and into the groove we went. I was impressed by his unique recording methods as well which included effecting the sounds as we played live into the mics. Great to get this session out into the world!”
