Quick Status Update

Hi everyone! It's nearing the end of April which means there's a whole bunch of work ahead of me in the next few days. I have a commission to get to, a Patreon reward to do, and then I'm still behind on the Patreon Comic. Sadly, I have been for the last two months. There's also suggestions which will open in a couple days. The good news is, I should have all of the next two days to work before my regular job starts up. I'm hoping to get through a bunch of what I'm behind of and maybe even produce a couple fun things along the way.

On a personal note, I got the results from all my tests back. My bloodwork is great which makes me really happy. I always worry there's something terrible brewing and the bloodwork will show it. The X-rays were where I found out what's been bothering me so badly. It's called calcific tendonosis. Basically, calcium deposits have formed on the tendons of my shoulders. Because of the kind of work I do, they are constantly inflamed, leading to the constant pain I feel whenever I move my shoulders too much, or flex my arms certain ways, or raise my arms above my chest, or cut off circulation to my wrists by sitting at a keyboard typing. Pretty much, anything I do, or don't do causes it to flare up. Sleeping is impossible if I turn onto my side. Guess who's a side sleeper? Yep, me. To compound the issue, I've also developed shoulder impingement syndrome. The tendons in my shoulders have gotten larger which makes them rub against my shoulder bones. That's why I'm affected by so many different things.

So, where do I go from here? That I don't know. I don't make enough with Online stuff to take a leave of absence from work so I have to keep going to regular work. My pain is too great for any home remedies (heat and ice do nothing nor does ibuprofen). That leaves steroid injections and physical therapy, or if the doctor feels the damage is too great, surgery. Surgery has to be a last resort as the recovery process takes about six weeks. With it being in both shoulders they would do one and then the other so it would be about 12 total weeks.

Anyway, there's the update on what's going on with me.

Ok, so now you know what it is. And that's a great start. From here you seem to have a few options so it's gonna come down to planning. Good luck with this I hope you make a full recovery.
