And also, the Rigol is powered by USB C, so if you have a big enough battery pack you should be able to use it like a handheld isolated scope. Making it dual purpose. Again I'm really wondering if I'm missing something because I keep seeing huge price tags on 20 years old DSOs that don't match the newer RIGOLs on paper so why would they be selling for that much and why would people buy them too. The only reason I'm seeing is that RIGOL is a "cheap" brand compared to Tek or LeCroy but for hobbyist use it's perfectly fine I think

A LeCroy LT344 goes for more than a thousand dollars on eBay, it's big and old (winch can be a good or a bad thing) and does only 500MS/s, a Rigol DHO924S does half the bandwidth but 1.25GS/s and pretty much everything better on paper, built-in logic analyzer and waveform generator etc... lots of math options too. All that for just under a thousand. Am i missing something here ? I'm genuinely wondering because I don't see why it would be a recommended option and also calling it very cheap is interesting

I wonder why the discussion is limited to digital scopes when there are a lot of decent - albeit ancient - analog scopes at exceedingly reasonable prices? Tek and HP and similar abound at about a buck a megahertz.
