A very good video. It would be nice if you could go into more detail about the multimeter. Which CAT category do we need? What resolution or measuring accuracy should the device offer.

I was given a Hakko FR-301 to cover some side work (I'm retired). I read the above discussion on Hokko tips. I also downloaded a copy of the Instruction Manual and notice that there are 16 varieties of tips. My unit has a 0.08mm tip. Also there seems to be several tips with the same orifice ID but different shaped. My manual gives no info on tip application. Could you list the tips you use for "run=of=mill" desoldering on old and new circuits and SMD boards.
