- Part 5 - Component Knowledge - The Relay!

Comments

Hi Mr. C, Hope you are well sir! Hey quick question that relates to relays, and also power supplies……So I’m in the market for a bench top power supply and I need to make a decision real soon on what to get…..I really want to make this circuit for cleaning relays also! When you were setting everything up on this one you said that you were going to give it 60 or 70V DC……..It seams that the majority of bench top power supplies that I’ve been seeing don’t go that high…..Am I missing something there, or do I in fact need to find one that will output at least 70VDC? I did already watch the video you made about coming up to a bench power supply, but I still am having trouble figuring out which kind to get……I’m a beginner and I love working with vintage audio equipment. It’ll only be solid state until I learn WAY more than I know at this point. My favorite things to work on are vintage receivers, turntables, amps, and ESPECIALLY tape related items like reel to reel and cassette decks….. ANY input would be much APPRECIATED! Thank you so much for all that you do!! I’ve learned so much, and I’ve had a blast learning from you!! Much respect! Mikey Gee
