Just about ready for final testing, It sounds really good! See under the chassis, how to lay out the parts, and some stories of the issues along the way. Enjoy!

Mr Carlson, I joined specifically because you made this guitar amp with the 6370 sleeper audio tube! I bought a bunch of these tubes a while back figuring I'd learn to make a PP guitar amp from them 1 day, but now I've got a real design to work from. Two things I'd like to suggest and get feedback from. #1 There are little switching Power Supply boards that step up 12+VDC to about + and -400VDC. They cost less than $10 delivered from China. Much cheaper than your Power Transformer. There are also these tiny step down DC boards that are very cheap $1< delivered which say they can handle 2+ A of current for our filaments. I have used them at under 1.5A @ 6.3 Vdc with good results. These are adjustable so 12.6Vdc is no problem and if you need more than 1.5A's of filament current you just use 2 or more of these cheap, tiny boards! I think you could replace your expensive Power Transformer with some of these for under $10 total. The only issue I've had using these is when the B+ voltage demands too much current under max load. #2 another sleeper audio tube I have tons of is the EL86, not the EL84 everyone knows about. In PP a pair of EL86's can do 25W of output where the EL84 only 18W. The issue with the EL86 is the much lower screen voltage restriction +200VDC MAX. This is why you cannot just plug in an EL86 for an EL84. I have designed and made 1 PP EL86 guitar amp and it really kicks butt! I have 1 other sleeper tube the PQ EL130 or 7534 a 10,000 hour tube with Military Specs. I have Many Amperex and Mullard EL130s which I'd like to use in a SE guitar amp design. PP a pair of these will do 60+W of output, far more than I want or need. SE can get a good 12W which is more than most of the common Guitar amp output tubes like EL34 or 6L6. I'd be willing to ship you a few of these tubes for free if you would be willing to work on some guitar amp designs with me.
