2022-10-17 21:44:56 +0000 UTCwhat kind of capacitor would you use to replace one that says WV (working volts)? is this a special kind because i got two old scopes one heathkit IO-4510 and a really cool techtronics type 647A with two removable boards like your big scope. one board says type 10A2A dual trace amplifier the other says type 11B2A time Base. i also found the solder real in it, the silver solder and watched your video about your scope and how you havent found the real yet and i learned that its not a scope i want to dig into yet until i learn more and repair other stuff first. i did dim bulb test it and it lit up all three lights i had and the trace just sat in one spot so i just stopped and put it aside for now. anyways saw some capacitors that said dc volts or wv and just wondered what i need to get to replace those kinds. the heathkit looses horizontal sweep after warm up and i think its one of the caps that power that sweep. i want to replace all the electrolytics just need to learn a little more first on what kind to use to best match and also what do those wv and dc and what not matter as far as replacement caps go. thanks and i got so excited after watching your video on your old tech scope and realizing oh thats just like what i just bought from the second hand place. I also got a old model 803 differential dc-ac voltmeter john fluke mfg. old navy one i think. im on a mission to repair some old stuff lol.
