IN Short:
A very versatile circuit suited for many purposes, much to be learned through this build.
- 2N3904 Quantity X5. (Only one used, 4 to compare.)
- 100K Ohms X1
- 1K Ohm X3 All resistors, 1/4 or 1/2 Watt is fine.
- 100 Ohm X1
- 100K Ohm Potentiometer X1 1/2 watt shaft type
- 100uF/16V Capacitor X1
- .01uF Capacitor X2
Variable power supply or a fixed 9 Volt battery.
Dual trace oscilloscope.
Bread Board.
Signal generator capable of a 1000 Hz sine wave, and variable amplitude.
If you don't have the above components and test equipment, no worries just follow along, I will use my own to explain the circuit during the build.

Hello Paul, I just signed up for your course. I am having trouble sourcing the parts for this project; in particular the capacitors. I would like to follow along but I don't know what to buy. Do you have a list for the whole course? That would make it a whole lot easier to complete the projects and follow along. I would like to buy all the parts at once. I think it would be more cost effective that way.
