Well simply could just make up any scenario, like since they are Androids, war machines/tools to restore humanity etc. The Androids probably see humans as their Gods/creator. 2B is like cool levelheaded kuudere, 9S is more emotionally open. Maybe 2B is teaching 9S how to serve a superior human, teaching him his place as he tries to stand up against a human.
