I see where you're coming from... But it doesn't work like PCIe revisions. Throughput may be higher with revisions, but that will not make up for capacity differences. Programs will still require the same amount of space in RAM, regardless of revision. It's like a car; you can upgrade the performance, but 1 passenger will always take 1 seat.

A question for ask GN: what is there, if any difference between say 16gb of ddr3 and 8gb of ddr4? The the 16gb of ddr3 should hold more, whereas the 8gb of ddr4 should just cycle twice as fast then the ddr3 ( as with every additional DDR version ), so the overall throughput should be the same, no?

I have first experience in ignoring my PC, i have vaccumed it 5 times in 9 years,my 3770k is using a coolermaster 240 AIO, same age. My temps are 40 idle and below 60 under pressure. And its on the floor.

Ah, good thing you mentioned the toolkit, been meaning to buy it for quite some time

I have first-hand experience with the dust / air purifier. I used a reasonably high-end one, about 6-7 feet away from the computer. It didn't offer any visible or otherwise noticeable difference, except for ruining my chill: running it all the time was loud, even on the quietest setting.

It would be great if you could publish these on YouTube as well as here, as I often miss them when they're just here. We have no need for exclusive content! (You could always delay them a week or two for non-patreon members).
