You Can poke fun at someone you respect without being offended or finding their work absurd. Linus and GN have 2 completely different audiences with different focuses, and that is OK. If you are offended by the fact that Steve and the Gamers Nexus Team likes to experiment with the Content they Produce, and the Thumbnails they make, then you have the option of unsubscribing. I for one, along with a big chunk of our community, appreciate the dedication Steve and company put into their videos, they almost always deliver content that is on point, and informative. They also are a business, and want to find ways to expand their viewership when they can, so trying new things isn't such a bad thing, and ultimately even if he does have a thumbnail here and now that is different then normal, if he sticks to the same no nonsense coverage in the actual content, it really doesn't matter. People can always find things to criticize other people over, but ultimately at the end of the day Steve does a great job, if you don't think so, that's what the unsubscribe button is for.

Not overnight, but I recall a video GN made maybe late last year where there was a subtle jab snuck in at LTT about their video thumbnails and their formulaic stupidity involving Linus making a grotesque face and perhaps their clickbait-y titles. In the last few months both yours and JayzTwoCents thumbnails, among others, have been adopting that formula more frequently, and I just find it a very unpleasant symptom of an greater ill, the source of which I’m almost certain is LTT.

No, the offensive part is that you think we'd just change our content direction overnight. LTT or not, that is absurd. We are very dedicated to our direction and have routinely indicated that.

I really don’t want to go down this rabbit hole but, OK, here we go. 1) Guilt by association, I guess... But 1a) Why would it be offensive unless you were offended by possibly being compared with LTT’s content? That would imply you’re offended by his content, or perhaps at the very least don’t hold it in high esteem (which you should not, it’s awful—especially when compared to GN’s). So that begs the question of why would you associate with someone who produces content that, if it invited comparisons, would irk you so much? You respect Linus but not his work? It’s a stretch to separate those things.

Why on earth would you jump to the conclusion that we'd somehow mimic their content? It's possible for us to be friendly with another outlet without literally becoming them. Come on.

Please do me a favor and don’t get into bed with Linus/LMG. Your content is so much higher caliber, simply by virtue of you not being excruciatingly annoying or forcing horrible segues into ads, not to mention the better, more thorough content you produce, and total lack of brand/sponsor ass-kissery. I’ve gone to great lengths to avoid consuming LMG content, and I became a supporter to help ensure GN doesn’t turn into LTT. Please stay on your own path.

I have an off-topic question: How was Japan? What was your favorite meal? Did you enjoy riding the trains? (It's the best public transportation I've used) I hope there was time to sight see the place; it truly was a good "culture shock" experience as people often say. Next time try to climb Mt. Fuji, it's awesome.
