Hey all,
We are building a GN tool wall for our tear-down set overhaul! Previously, this wall was light green and had a shelf on it. The shelf caused many head-bonks and was generally useless, and I always had to squeeze between the table, shelf, and lights, then walk around the camera (and back) if I wanted a tool off the other wall. It could sometimes take about a minute to do, which is an awfully long time to traverse about 10 linear feet -- but is also the side effect of working in a video set, where we've got tripods everywhere.
To help remedy this issue, we worked with iFixit to build a new tool wall that's full of everything we'll need for tear-down videos. It'll take some getting used to with tool placement, but we're really excited to have this cool backdrop for future videos. It also saves us about 5-6" of horizontal space in the room (as the wall is shorter than the shelf), which is a lot to gain back when as cramped as we are.
We've got a few easter eggs on the wall: an NZXT puck, thermal grizzly packets, and an EVGA ACX 3.0 cooler that was featured in our ACX vs. ICX content from about a year ago, and was custom made for that content (don't worry, we have others if we need them).
More to come!
