Revising our Methods

Hey Patrons!

This post is only for you.

I've been spending the last day cataloging and detailing our testing methodology on our internal servers. Text instruction files, detailed settings configurations, video walkthroughs of the tests -- all important stuff, and I've been either personally running the tests or individually showing each technician how to do it. Because our techs are part-time, this is an insane amount of work each time; I've got to spend hours bringing everyone up to speed, then repeat for every new game.

Now, we're going to have an internal server -- built on a Synology 20TB NAS -- that's got all the walkthroughs well documented. For readers and viewers, this means a few things: One, I've personally got more time to work on other things. Two, we eliminate confusion as test platforms age, and eliminate the possibility of misremembering a setting. Three, we'll working even harder to publish our settings/configurations when testing games, so that viewers and readers have an even better idea of what to  expect from their own PC hardware.

Anyway, I'm personally excited about this. There's something to be said about organizing a server -- that's kind of fun, and our current one is a mess -- but it's also just growth of the business.

In other news, we're working on the EVGA Hybrid, then some laptops. Cases likely will be worked on next.

Anyway, thanks for your support! Just wanted to give an inside look!

- Steve.
