Too many benchmarks, really. We've been at it non-stop for a few weeks now -- but lots of fun to see how the new games are interacting with hardware!
The Assassin's Creed Syndicate benchmark is, to me, the most interesting of them all. I'll be honest in stating that I am personally not too interested in /playing/ Syndicate, but I loved benchmarking the game (big thanks to GN's Mike Gaglione for running half the cards in the test). We see a big difference between 2GB and 4GB cards in Syndicate, something that I previously found true in GTX 960s on AC Unity.
Some games are beginning to show larger performance gaps for 2GB and 4GB GPUs. This is particularly accentuated when looking at performance metrics in the 1% low frametimes, which show the worst 1% of all FPS measurements. With 2GB cards, we see nearly half the 1% performance at some resolutions/settings, something that encourages us to recommend 4GB cards whenever possible as the new games roll-out.
Thought I'd share!
