Hey everyone! I just wanted to make a post so I can give you guys an update and it just seems like a good day to sort of plan the upcoming year!

Anyhow, I wanted to thank everyone for sticking with me! 2020 was my first year out of school or not working or anything and I'm so grateful I was able to afford living off my art. What a year that was haha...!

ANYHOW: Here are some 2021 goals, corresponding with Patreon (for the most part!)

1. FINISHING MY PORTFOLIO

If you check out my process posts or highres files you'll notice that I've been doing quite a few backgrounds! I'm currently working on setting up my basic BG Design/Paint section in my portfolio (almost ready to move on to the next though). I'll be doing similarly with Character Design & Prop Design - I may end up writing a more in depth post about each, starting with BG Design, giving a little more insight into the process and writing up some things I've learned as I went through with them? Just an idea, it would intertwine my personal work and give some love to the Patreon!

Currently I'm tentatively setting up in hopes of snagging a job in the animation industry -- I'm kind of bad in that I've never been too specific about where I wanted my career to go in art but that's where my interest has been piqued so I'm giving it a shot. Still likely to be depending on commissions+Patreon for the most part for now though, the support is appreciated. <3

2. MORE ACTIVITY

DISCORD: This I always feel slightly bad about! I could definitely bother to advertise here more but I usually just... don't! I have a Patreon Discord server floating around but I've been a little shy to start it, not sure why; I'd assume it wouldn't even be too active to need that much maintenance (unless it surprises me!) but I'm sure maybe some people would appreciate an easier access if you want to poke me about stuff. My goal was getting to 20 patrons first though, as it stands right now it's 4 people away.

STREAMING: Even so I hope I can do more streaming in the new year, I say this often haha but it's basically like a small chill space to watch me work for a bit. I like doing it, I just fall out of the habit a lot. I'll try to be more mindful of this and maybe even try for a Twitch affiliate - you can follow my channel here if you're interested at all (plus it'll help me reach the follower goal, hah!)

3. PROJECTS/FUN STUFF/OTHER GOALS?

PMV: Boy I'd love to get one of these guys done... I miss making videos I'm just BUSY. I have it planned out though it's just up to me to get the art done if I have spare moments. Here's a little peak of some eyes that show the art/style I'm kind of going for. Patrons will get a sneak peek if I get this one off the ground!

ANIMATIONS: I'd like to do more of them!! They're so time-consuming though! Argh! Even if I can only manage doing a couple of sketch ones per month that'd be nice.

PROJECTS: Once I get to my Character Design portion of my portfolio I can probably do a little introduction of my Witch Cats personal project - mostly just made for visdev purposes but it'd be cute to write up a little basic pitch/write-up about it when I have more visuals to go with it!
