[Infection AU] The Rest Follows

“Please everyone, just take a moment,” Fluttershy tried saying over the loud ponies.

“Maybe if you unicorns could actually help with the weather we wouldn’t be having issues providing you food!” Rich yelled at the white unicorn.

“We can’t do that! Very little of us have that magic ability!” Fancy yelled back.

They where growing a crowd, one Flutters needed to break up immediately.

Pegasi left two moons ago, leaving the weather unstable and the crops suffering from flooding.

“Then stop asking us to do better! Not our fault the Pegasi left us!”

Cheese pushed his way through the crowd.
“Fluttershy?”

”Please, everyone, let’s just solve these problems together!” Flutter Shy spoke boldly. 

”Quite! You have no right to speak, how about you do something helpful and actually get Twilight!” Trixie yelled in the back.

”I second that,” Fancy said stomping his hoof. 

“Maybe she can make the EARTH ponies do better!” Fancy huffed.

”Or maybe have those dumb horns on UNICORNS actually DO something .” Rich snapped back.

”Flutter shy if you have time…” Cheese said over the cross fires. 

“I’m sorry Cheese later!” Fluttershy quickly said.

”Lets see how unicorns survive with out us! HOW ABOUT THAT!” Rich pinned his ears but grew a smile with surrounding earth ponies agreeing with him. 

“Guys please! Be rational in this situation! We must help each other!“

”I just want to know where PINKIE IS!”
“Fine, LEAVE. You will be no better than the Pegasi!”

”You won’t survive without us!”

All of Fluttershys pleas were drowned out by the growing mob. She quickly flew away wishing with everything she had, Twilight could speak. But how would they feel knowing their last hope caught the virus herself.

Now for the Earth and Unicorns to split! They don’t split for a while yet, what they said were empty threats. However, three months later, when food began to become a real problem. They broke away when they discovered Twilight had entered faze two of the virus and there was no help.
