Drama on Itch.io and steam. NSFW stuff removed and my take on this...

Hey hey folks.

The following post is me raging about what's going on on Itch.io and Steam at the moment...

So read on if you are interested in my view on what's happening or want to know more!

So.. i usually try and stay away from drama since i'm a happy person and refuse to let any online crap get me down too much but this is beyond insane...

In case you haven't heard.. both steam and now Itch.io have been pressured by "payment processors" like Visa and Mastercard.. to remove most of their NSFW stuff because of only a few titles that a certain group didn't like... Steam has only removed a few things but Itch just shadowbanned ALL their nsfw content!

The people behind this absolute garbage is "Collective shout" an Australian group that, and i quote : "Collective Shout is a grassroots campaigns movement against the objectification of women and the sexualisation of girls"

and

"Collective Shout is for anyone concerned about the increasing pornification of culture and the way its messages have become entrenched in mainstream society, presenting distorted and dishonest ideas about women and girls, sexuality and relationships."

What a load of fucking horseshite...

Their entire website is pure comedy.. if it wasn't affecting so many fellow artists i'd just laugh at this "collective"

This group of.. whatever the fuck they think they are.. are going to save all the ladies by trying to get porn, adult games and more banned to "protect" women and girls..

just girls mind you.. men and boys be damned right?!

Fuck me.. not much gets me angry.. but this is infuriating!

I don't know what kind of world these freaks are living in but i got news for them..

women like erotic stuff as well! In fact.. i have quite a few supporters that are ladies, trans and others that identify as women that love looking at some smut!

Not to mention the women in my life around me love my work! But no.. you shall be protected by these "people".. and it doesn't matter if you want to or not.. they'll decide for you!

Now...

Groups like this have existed since the dawn of time.. but for certain payment processors to actually listen to them and then blackmail, threaten and punish companies is insanity... fucking cowards...

Why should the rest of the world be punish because some c**ts are feeling insulted?

Listen, i need you folks to know that if it ever comes down to it.. if Patreon or Paypal ever bend over for this group of morons then know that i'll find a way to bring my smut to you folks anyways!

This currently doesn't effect me or my work but i feel bad for all the game makers and artists that rely on Itch to earn their money or just want to entertain people... and fuck Itch and Valve for caving, shame on you!

Porn and other erotica isn't going to go away just because they don't like.. they can pretend to be little crusaders for a cause all they want..

These folks just hate men.. which is obvious from the way they only talk about girls and women.. it makes me a little sad really..

To me.. smut in all forms is art, simple as that! Just like in movies and books i believe everything should be allowed in art as long as it doesn't actually hurt someone in real life (and i don't mean their feelings), even if i don't agree with it or even am disgusted by the subject.. it's still not real, just like movies and i just move on..

Sorry for the long rant.. but i felt like i had to say something since this hits a little too close to home. My work is my passion! I love entertaining people with my smut!

Let's all have a good "self loving" session to some smut today to celebrate our freedom to enjoy whatever the heck we want!

To the boys: Keep doing what you are doing.. you aint hurting anyone by looking at smut!

To the ladies: Don't be ashamed for enjoying smut, there are many many girls and ladies just like you that enjoy it just as much if not more! It doesn't make you less of a woman.. in fact.. i respect it immensely and i think it empowers you more, making your own choice to enjoy it because YOU want to!
